What you are actually buying
A steam shower is a generator, a control, a steam head and a sealed enclosure. Twelve of the 24 are ThermaSol, seven are Delta and five are Mr. Steam, and the three do not mix: a Delta control will not drive a ThermaSol generator. Decide the brand first, because it decides everything downstream.
The enclosure is the part people underestimate. A steam shower needs a sealed ceiling, a sloped top and a door that closes fully, and none of that is in the box. If your bathroom cannot be sealed, the generator will run and the room will not hold steam.
Before you buy
A generator needs a dedicated circuit sized to its kilowatt rating and a plumbed water supply, and the ratings here vary enough that the electrical answer is per model rather than per collection. Get the spec sheet for the exact unit and give it to your electrician before you order, not after.
