Two items, $125 and $480: Scandia sauna wood oil and Himalayan salt wall panels. Only the first is maintenance in any real sense — the panels are a fitting you add, not something the cabin needs.
Why wood oil matters and what it is not
Interior sauna wood is normally left untreated on the benches and walls you touch, because a sealed surface gets hot in a way bare wood does not. Sauna-specific oil is formulated for that: it goes on doors, frames and exterior surfaces rather than everywhere. Read what the manufacturer of your cabin specifies before you oil anything — a standard wood treatment in a hot room is a mistake that is difficult to undo.
The routine that actually preserves a sauna
Ventilation after every session, wiping benches down, and letting the room dry fully. That does more for a cabin than any product, and it costs nothing. Most of what shortens a sauna's life is trapped moisture rather than lack of treatment.
