Infrared Saunas

Most infrared saunas here run on a standard 120V circuit, which is why they fit a normal room without an electrician. The ones needing 240V rarely say so in the title, so check the listing before you budget. From $1,999.

Which infrared type

Full spectrum means near and mid wavelengths on top of far. Far infrared alone runs around 140°F and is the cheaper way in. A hybrid adds a traditional stove so the same room reaches Finnish temperatures, from about $7,000.

Fewer than half the cabins here publish a maximum temperature at all. Ask for the figure on the model you are considering rather than assuming one.

What to check before ordering

Chromotherapy is fitted to almost every cabin here, so it is not a reason to pay more. Red light therapy is on more than half, so confirm it. Where a capacity is stated it is almost always two or three people.

Hemlock and cedar are the two woods, and only a minority name the species in the title. Read the spec sheet, not the product name.

Delivery

Free shipping to the lower 48, no minimum, and it stops at the curb — the crate is left at the end of your driveway. Getting it inside is a $600 white-glove upgrade. Getting it inside and assembled is $1,800, which covers everything except electrical work: we recommend you hire a local electrician for that, because the wiring has to meet your local code and pass local inspection. Service fees are non-refundable: if the sauna goes back, the installation does not.
