Description
Maxxus MX-K406-01 FAR Infrared Sauna delivers Low EMF carbon-panel heat in a 4 Person Canadian Hemlock cabin, pairing a roomy interior with practical controls, lighting, and audio for a consistent indoor sauna routine.
If you’re looking for an at-home sauna that feels like a dedicated space (not a temporary gadget), the MX-K406-01 is built around comfort and usability first. The Natural Reforested Canadian Hemlock construction gives the cabin a clean, warm look that fits naturally in a home gym, finished basement, or wellness room. The front is finished with a bronze tinted tempered glass door, adding privacy while still keeping the space visually open and inviting.
The heart of this model is its heating layout: (9) Maxxus Low EMF FAR infrared carbon heating panels. “FAR infrared” is designed to feel more direct and more approachable than the high-air-temperature experience of a traditional sauna, and the Low EMF rating is defined as 5–10 mG measured 2 to 3 inches from the heating panels. That clarity matters when you want to choose confidently—because you’re not guessing what “low” means.
This is also a sauna you can actually settle into. With a 68" x 37" x 68" interior, it’s sized to comfortably support shared sessions—two people stretching out with space to breathe, or a group session where everyone isn’t cramped shoulder-to-shoulder. On the outside, the cabin is listed at 74" x 42" x 75", with an important planning note: the roof overhang adds 5.9" to the depth. That one detail can be the difference between a perfect fit and a tight squeeze, so it’s worth factoring into your placement plan.
Daily operation is straightforward thanks to interior/exterior LED control panels, so you can make adjustments from inside the cabin or right before you step in. To shape the atmosphere, the sauna includes an interior chromotherapy color lighting system with a red light feature, plus exterior accent lighting that gives the sauna a finished, furniture-like presence in the room. It’s a simple upgrade that makes the sauna feel less like equipment and more like a permanent part of your space.
For many owners, audio is what turns “I should use it” into “I use it.” The MX-K406-01 includes an FM radio plus Bluetooth and an MP3 auxiliary connection with built-in speakers, so you can keep sessions consistent—music, podcasts, guided breathing, or quiet background sound—without dragging extra gear into the cabin.
Heat expectations are clearly defined for normal use. The MX-K406-01 lists 118°F–132°F as the ideal temperature range and notes the sauna can heat up to 140°F. That gives you flexibility for gentler sessions or hotter preferences, while keeping the experience in a range many people find comfortable for regular routines.
Installation planning is also refreshingly transparent. This sauna uses a clasp together assembly, ships in 3 boxes, and is listed at 400 lbs (with a 465 lb shipping weight). Electrically, it requires special electrical: 120 V / 20 AMP with a Non-GFCI dedicated receptacle and breaker (and it is not 220/240 V). In practical terms, it’s a dedicated-circuit sauna—plan the right outlet and breaker so performance stays stable and predictable.
Overall, Maxxus MX-K406-01 is built for people who want a true 4-person FAR infrared cabin with defined Low EMF specs, real placement-friendly dimensions, and the features that make ownership easy: simple controls, lighting that feels intentional, and built-in audio that supports consistency.

nine carbon panels in a 4-person cabin means comprehensive coverage for everyone. the maxxus low EMF hemlock doesn't leave anyone sitting in a cooler zone. the bench and floor heaters mean lower body gets the same treatment as upper body. really well engineered for the 4-person use case.
L
was looking at 4-person saunas in the $5-6k range. inhousewellness showed me the maxxus 4-person low EMF hemlock at $3,699 and helped me understand what I'd be giving up (EMF spec upgrade mostly) vs what I'd keep (all the practical features). for regular family use the $3,699 model was the right call. saved $1,500+.

The Maxxus 4-person low EMF Canadian Hemlock is a solid value family sauna. Heat up time to 120F is about 23-25 minutes for a 4-person unit - normal for this size. Set it when you get home and it's ready by the time you've changed. Low EMF good, hemlock quality solid, all features working.

R
the maxxus 4-person low EMF canadian hemlock at $3,699 is priced where a 2-person sauna used to cost. that's genuine market disruption. the quality doesn't feel entry-level - hemlock is solid, panels are good, features work. for families wanting 4-person capacity at an accessible price this is the product.
M
