Golden Designs Vorarlberg GDI-8005-01 is a 5 person outdoor traditional sauna with an 8.0 kW stove, Canadian Hemlock, flat roof design, and bronze privacy tempered glass. Built for outdoor use, this sauna pairs a traditional high-heat steam experience with practical comfort features for residential wellness spaces. The 81" x 60" x 87" assembled footprint with overhang gives the cabin room for up to 5 persons, while the 74" x 53" x 81" interior dimensions provide usable seating space without requiring a large structure. Its 8.0 kW stove with built-in controls is designed for traditional sauna temperatures, with an ideal operating range of 170°F to 185°F and heat capability up to 190°F.
The Vorarlberg is built with natural reforested Canadian Hemlock and finished with water proof stain on the exterior, giving it a warm wood appearance suited for patios, decks, and outdoor wellness areas. The bronze privacy tempered glass door keeps the front visually open while adding a more private look than clear glass. Inside, the sauna includes an interior chromotherapy color lighting system, red light therapy feature, interior LED control panel, built-in FM station, Bluetooth connection, and built-in performance speakers. These features support a more complete sauna environment by combining heat, light, and audio controls in one outdoor cabin.
For traditional sauna use, the included sandglass, bucket, and scoop support classic water-over-stone sauna routines when used according to the heater instructions. The sauna ships in 8 boxes and has an assembled weight of 720 lbs, with a listed shipping weight of 985 lbs. Electrical requirements include a 240V / 40AMP service for the stove plus 120V / 15AMP service for the controls, lights, and music, with installation by a certified electrician required for the heater.
