At all three brands we researched, the heating element — the part that actually fails — carries the shortest warranty or none at all. Harvia covers coils for a year against five years on other components. HUUM excludes heating elements from its five-year limited warranty entirely. Narvi gives resistors twelve months against two years on the stove.

Confirm the terms before you buy

Dealers state the same brand's warranty differently. We have seen Harvia quoted as one year on elements and five on components, and also as one year on everything; HUUM quoted as three years private and one year commercial against its published five. Get the terms in writing for the specific model. Harvia adds a year on electric heaters if you register them. These figures cover Harvia, HUUM and Narvi, which are 71 of the 95 heaters here; we have not researched the rest.

Sizing by kW

Ninety of the 95 state an output, from 4kW to 40kW, and the figure has to match your room volume rather than your preference. Undersized never reaches temperature; oversized cycles hard and wastes power. Forty-nine are wood-burning and 49 electric, and three listings mention both, so the split is not quite clean: electric needs a circuit, wood needs a flue.

Delivery

Free shipping to the lower 48, no minimum, and it stops at the curb — the crate is left at the end of your driveway. Getting it inside is a $600 white-glove upgrade. Getting it inside and assembled is $1,800, which covers everything except electrical work: we recommend you hire a local electrician for that, because the wiring has to meet your local code and pass local inspection. Service fees are non-refundable: if the sauna goes back, the installation does not.
