Steam Saunas

These fifteen are traditional saunas, not steam rooms. A "steam sauna" is a Finnish-style cabin where you pour water over hot rocks to raise the humidity in bursts. A steam room is a different product: around 110 to 120°F at continuous full humidity, generated by a plumbed unit. If that is what you want, see steam showers.

What is actually here

Fifteen cabins and barrels, $5,724 to $13,649, median $7,086. All fifteen are traditional saunas heated by an electric heater or a wood-burning stove, and every one also appears in our traditional sauna collection. Eleven are cedar. Fifteen state a capacity, from two to six people.

The heater is usually separate

Several Dundalk models are sold as the cabin only, with a 6 to 8kW heater recommended and bought separately. Six of the fifteen name a 240V requirement. A wood-fired model needs a flue and clearances instead of a circuit. Check which you are buying before you budget.

Delivery

Free shipping to the lower 48, no minimum, and it stops at the curb — the crate is left at the end of your driveway. Getting it inside is a $600 white-glove upgrade. Getting it inside and assembled is $1,800, which covers everything except electrical work: we recommend you hire a local electrician for that, because the wiring has to meet your local code and pass local inspection. Service fees are non-refundable: if the sauna goes back, the installation does not.
