Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy is coloured LED lighting, not a heat or therapy feature, and it is fitted to 40 of the 43 saunas here. Three do not mention it anywhere in their listing, so confirm before you order on that basis alone.

$1,999 to $16,999, median $3,999. Maxxus supplies 17, Dynamic Saunas 15 and Golden Designs 11. Thirty-six state a capacity, one to six people, and 39 list Bluetooth — the two features travel together because both are cabin electronics rather than heating.

What it does and does not tell you

Chromotherapy says nothing about EMF, wavelength or heat. Twenty-two of the 43 name a low EMF tier in the title, eight near zero, and ten are full spectrum. If the light is what you want, almost anything here has it; if it is a proxy for build quality, it is not one. Check the EMF tier and the heater separately.

Power and delivery

Thirty of the 43 name a standard 120V circuit and nine need 240V. Free shipping to the lower 48, no minimum, and it stops at the curb — the crate is left at the end of your driveway. Getting it inside is a $600 white-glove upgrade. Getting it inside and assembled is $1,800, which covers everything except electrical work: we recommend you hire a local electrician for that, because the wiring has to meet your local code and pass local inspection. Service fees are non-refundable: if the sauna goes back, the installation does not.
